Why Trevor’s Own?

Using the phrase “Trevor’s Own” started out as just something I said to a friend when sharing one of my special spirit mixes. It wasn’t even something I thought about at the time because I wasn’t exactly trying to start a business back then, but it stuck and when I finally decided that I wanted to make this venture a reality, I didn’t need to try very hard to decide what my company should be named. I make flavors, they are my own special blends, and I am forming a company… so “Trevor’s Own Flavor Company LLC” was born!

Bourbon Bliss

We launched with my Signature Product “Bourbon Bliss”. Although I would never be considered a connoisseur, I do love a great bourbon and more specifically, I enjoy a good Old Fashioned, but I never liked wasting an entire orange for the one drink I might be having. I found some other brands of bar syrups that were OK, but I always needed to add other things such as sugars and liqueurs to get the flavor profile I was looking for and called the result a “New Fashioned”. The problem was buying all the different pre-bottled ingredients which was excessive and also expensive. I was already making my own home-brew sour mix, so I figured I would give making my own Old-Fashioned syrup a shot.

Bourbon Bliss, Recipe #6 was an honest labor of love. I discovered that I really enjoyed the process of making something, and making it well, as much as the end result. It is a rewarding feeling to work on something for so long and put so much effort into it and then watching people enjoy your creation.
